Low Line Relay - Sea Legs
It’s difficult to pick highlights from ‘Sea Legs’ – the albums opener ”Below The Surface” is a rumbling disco/jazz feet shuffler; live bass smatterred with complex percussion and Leo’s trademark keys.
Leo’s work on keys and synths cant just be glossed over. If there’s one thing that shines through, one theme, one constant – it’s Leo’s soaring synth work. Intentionally or not, Leo seems to be trying to translate feelings of hope, optimism and sometimes melancholy into his music – and he does this with grace. Certain tracks on the album progress from a simple hook into frenzied crescendos of layered moog, literally making your hair stand on end (Pushed To The Limit, Slave To The Grind, Foresight) – while others have a dark, brooding quality akin to something you’d hear in a seedy Jazz club of old (The Bass Player, Silver Screen).
‘Sea Legs’ is not for the dancefloor at your local Saturday night identikit house night. Tracks from the LP will work well on many floors, but where these tracks will do real damage is everywhere but the dance floor. What I mean is that ‘Sea Legs’ is a proper album – and proper albums should be listened to from start to finish. They should be listened to in different environments, different situations. And they should be listened to again and again and again.

An artist with many colours in his palette, Antonio Olivieri has spent time quietly waiting in the shadows mastering his latest EP release ʻDynamoʼ. Much expectation has surrounded Antonio Olivieri since previous release ʻRudimentsʼ demonstrated the panache and eclectic vibrancy of this young artistʼs taste. The 4 tracks featured on the EP do all this and more as Antonio delivers a unique and diverse spectrum of house music at its finest.
Dustin Nantais - American Greed EP
The American Greed EP also features Dustin's 'Ayn Rand' remix as well as two excellent remixes provided by Cameron Cooper and Murat Uncuoglu. The 'Ayn Rand'remix has a more after-hours feel than Dustin's original mix and samples the philosophers ideals on control and economy. The Cameron Cooper mix features somesensual synth sounds including a hypnotic bassline that echoes throughout the track, creating a sexy, dark and driving vibe. Murat Uncuoglu's remix takes a different approach as he adds an amazing piano part that tantalises the soul and will have youclosing your eyes and raising your hands in blissful ecstasy!
Hailing from Toronto, Canada, Dustin Nantais has always had an insatiable hunger for music.
