Artists:
Chris James (OFF Recordings, Get Physical, Gruuv)
Emerging from obscurity in early 2005, Chris hit the UK club scene after several years successfully pioneering popular regional radio shows; his skill as DJ and selector quickly earned him residencies at some of Birmingham's most important House nights.
With his recognition swiftly snowballing, it wasn't long before Chris was hitting the decks around the nation, and even as far afield as Ibiza and Australia. His exploits have earned him sets at clubs such as Ministry of Sound, Turnmills, Face, Empire and Monastery to name but a few.
With releases on labels including; Off Recordings, Get Physical, Gruuv, Anabatic and ALiVE, Chris James is proving to be a heavy hitter in the realm of the up and coming DJ/Producer, and is propped by many to be one to watch.
Chris joined forces with Bristol heavy-weight Eats Everything early 2011 with their ‘Coat Of Arms’ side project gaining widespread praise with ‘Is This Something’ signed to Jamie Jones’ Fabric Mix Compilation from Bristol’s fledgling Futureboogie label. This along with a number of tracks including Top 5 Hit "What You Need" on Pets Recordings and their epic take on Viadrina's - Luna for Your Mama's Friend, had left these guys with a project that can take them into the realms of the unknown and beyond. Chris has taken the project on solo going into 2013, hoping to deliver the same output that has seen the Coat Of Arms project thrust into the spotlight.
Chris James is set to have a busy 2012/ 2013; with several residencies under his belt, playing with the likes of Jesse Rose, Justin Martin, Eats Everything, Julio Bashmore, Huxley, Zombie Disco Squad, Mary Anne Hobbs, Roska, Ramadanman, Burnski and others, increasing his demand both nationally as well as across the globe, it is time to take note.
Real Connoisseur (Purp & Soul, Bad Taste)
A 19 year old producer/DJ from Oxford who has been immersed in music for his entire life. His father a Garage DJ, his mother obsessed with 70s and 80s Soul and Disco. It was no surprise that Conor was to step onto the UK music scene. His music keeps roots in garage but joins the British uprising of young producers, with electronic pads and synths that wash over pounding sub bass and swinging percussion. For such a young producer, his style sounds refined and matured, this is party down to his production journey starting 6 years ago.
For a first outing, his track on Purp & Soul's album 'Faux De Baux' exceeded expectations. Entering the Beatport Deep House Chart at No.46, it has become a staple track in label owner's Ben Pearce's sets of late. BBC Radio 1 have already been listening closely along with many others, Real Connoisseur joined Purp & Soul's roster late in 2012 and is undoubtedly one to watch in 2013. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

Pete Dafeet - Falling Off
2012 was a big year for Pete with highlights including his track ‘Hit ‘Em Up’ receiving Radio 1 plays from Pete Tong, guesting on Mark Knight’s Toolroom radio show and club support of his music from DJs including Ashley Beedle, Danny Howells, Jimpster, Graeme Park and Huxley. His gig schedule saw the most hectic year yet with performances in North and South America, Europe and the Middle East, as well as Lost My Dog events in Barcelona at Sonar Off and in London at Fabric, Egg and The Brickhouse.
James Dexter is LMD’s new kid on the block. His ‘System Check EP’ was a huge success at the end of 2012 and spawned the label’s top selling track of the year. With another EP lined up for later in 2013, the London producer will be continuing to make waves for the label. James has also impressed with releases for Large, Beef, Om, Salted Music, Nervous Records, Beatdown Music and Static Audio.
Harry Wolfman - Booty Call
Title track ‘Booty Call’ is backed by two remixes – the first by Ben Pearce, still riding high on the success of his Beatport chart-topping single ‘What I Might Do’ last year. Ben takes things even deeper than the original with huge swirling build-ups and a relentless nagging bassline. The second remix comes from Lost My Dog boss Pete Dafeet who is currently in a hot streak of form following an album and 2 EPs for LMD in 2012, and has countless remix and worldwide gig requests rolling in. Pete’s remix retains the eerie feel of the original, but increases the energy in the drums and brings extra grit to the synth work.
