February 18th - Digital Only, At ALL good retailers. (Physical - pre-order EXCLUSIVELY through the Intelligent Audio website)

The unstoppable Nigel Hayes is back on Intelligent Audio this time with 8 joint tracks made with label founder Clare Large.

First up we bring you the nu jazz, lounge and chill out side on IA2 - the Infusion EP.

Nigel Hayes needs no introduction as he has been making music for nearly 30 years, releasing on Soma, Guidance, Buddha Bar, Sunshine Enterprises and lots more, and DJing extensively worldwide for most of that time too. To date he has released over 70 records including 2 full length albums packed with live elements and his signature jazzy, funky, deep sound.

Clare Large has also been doing her thing for 14 years as a DJ worldwide, playing everything from techno to chillout, loads of deep, tech house and the label is a reflection of a small part of her music tastes with LOADS more cool tunes to come... She is currently doing a 3 month DJ contract in the Maldives, and running Intelligent Audio for nearly 4 years now.

In this joint project we fuse Nigel's love for live instrumentation and intricate drum programming with Clare's love for jazz, acid, and deepness!

We hope you enjoy as much as we do! Please spread the word and support everywhere you can and if you dig it, please let us know :-) And stay tuned for more joint projects!

Every now and again I hear a song that, well to be frank, I get a little obsessed over. It'll be the first song I listen to when I leave the house and the last one I listen to before I get to where I am going. This week I downloaded a mix by Tevo Howard and discovered two tracks to obsess over. The first track is the currently unreleased Dependency, this is a freakishly good track and I cannot wait until it is finally released, it's track number 7 in the mix, listen to it and tell me I am wrong. The second track is Shaquanda, an older track which was released as a B-Side to a vinyl only release on Thug Records. I am reliably informed that this is down to the last few copies on Juno so if you like it as much as I do get it quickly before it's all gone. I can only desccribe this track as lush.

You can get the mix by Tevo Howard here: 5 Chicago Monday Mix
