Produced in LA, mastered in Toronto, with collaborations stretching from Croatia to Montreal - the new Carpetbaggers EP is truly a global effort, born in Europe and bred in California, the tracks are r&b-tinged tales of chicanery in a city that never sleeps, a town that dreamt up the 'me' mentality, for better or for worse.

SugarDaddy is a laid back, bass heavy, Hollywood tribute to the one who got away, late nights, lost angels and paparazzi habits.

On the b-side, Hourglass follows up with a vocal banger that was recently crowd tested by our dear friend Ira from Gleamrecordings, Hawaii in front of a few thousand revelers during Independence Day festivities at the Hilton Lagoon, Honolulu. The feedback was extremely positive, from what we were told, the track really shines on a big system but we'll leave y'all to judge for yourselves…

"Wriggle" appeared on the first "Moodymanc" 12" back in 2007 which was never released digitally. The 12" was a vinyl sampler for the Dubble D album "Playin' Out" on 2020 Vision recordings which was a collection of tracks that I had made whilst DJ ing warm ups for 2020 soundsystem shows. I wanted to present an album as a mix in that style-starting off with hip hop grooves and working my way up through tempos and styles to a housier vibe, albeit in a jazzy way; kind of a mirror of my story as a musician.

"Moodymanc" (a "manc" is someone from Manchester if you didn't already know!) was a nickname that the guys at 2020 vision had given me, and we decided to do the 12" under that name as a bit of a joke to those in the know, and of course with a very, very reverential nod to Mr Keny Dixon Jr. (a truly inspirational hero and pioneer: I was never under any illusion that anybody might think that my music was anything like his!). The name of course stuck (love it or hate it-I do both!) and the rest is history....the story is still being told. Anyway, here it is-rough as.... but very much from the heart. With massive thanks to all those who have supported me and my music since, I hope that you will continue to do so in the future. It really does count! Feel free to share this and play LOUD, and if you like the vibe check out my other and forthcoming releases.

A couple of months ago I featured a remix of a James Brown track by Elliot Castro, I posted it because it was a good remix, I liked what Elliot had done with an older track. This month Elliot contacted me again with a couple of original releases, they completely blew me away with the quality of the production work, these tracks are major steps up and well worth spending the time to listen to. I hope you like them as much as I do....

Pete Oak presents a deep, synth driven trip down a winding road heading for a dirty part of sleazy town. Released as part of the Future Sleaze volume 2 album on the Sleazy Deep label this track is reminiscent of a sound track for an 80's noir film. Stabbing synths and a plantif vocal track take you on a journey into the dark side of house, I don't know who Alice is but I bet she's trouble.

Loudeast Records present the first release from the hottest new duo in San Francisco – Frederico Y Alvaro – a collaboration between Frederico ‘Fred Everything’ Todos and Alvaro Velilla. The Geometry EP is a captivating deep house 4 tracker in the vein of Vincenzo and Lovebirds, primed to hit the tastiest dancefloors around the world.

Frederico Y Alvaro initially met in Ibiza in 2005 at the Om Records summer residency at El Divino. They stayed in touch after but It wasn't until 2009, when Alvaro moved to San Francisco to work for Om, that the two became good friends and started working on music together. The result is their debut EP, an electronic journey inspired by films, vivid dreams and always with an eye on the dancefloor.

Finding a home for the project was easy. Alvaro played the track over the phone to his old buddy Nacho Marco and it was love at first sight (listen) for a release on his Loudeast label.

Fred Everything and Al Velilla have released music for longer that they would care to admit. Alvaro runs his label Modern Electrics and has spent the past few years remixing everyone from Radioslave to Dirty Vegas. Fred runs his own label Lazy Days Recordings and graces the finest deep house labels, always continuing his quest to release the best house tracks while maintaining a healthy worldwide DJ schedule.

Loudeast boss Nacho Marco on the release: “The result of this debut collaboration is quite unique, we hope it will make you forget about everything, at least for a few minutes.”
